bei mir ebenso. Eine 7050 mit frischem fw..89 war der Ausgangspunkt. Gestern den danisahne-mod gezogen, draufgespielt, quasi tot (nur noch adam2, sonst reboot nach etlichen Minuten, immer wieder)

Ich muss jetzt auch leider berichten,
dass es bei mir bis jetzt noch nicht geklappt hat; :(
allerdings liegt es bei mir schon an der Compilierung...

Ich hatte alle bisherigen rc-Versionen problemlos übersetzen und anpassen können.
War echt problemlos in der Handhabung...
Da ich auf einem Laptop entwickle und ich es bisher noch noch nicht geschafft habe, meine Intel WLAN-Karte mit WPA unter Linux laufen zu lassen, habe ich immer die Originalfirmware an den richtigen Platz gelegt und dann (nach Anpassung der Optionen) ein "make build".
Dann hat er mir das Image gebaut und auch gleich wieder an die richtige Stelle gelegt...

Mit der Release-Version hatte ich nicht so viel Erfolg; hier meine Vorgehensweise von gestern abend:
(naja, es spielten auch ein paar Betriebssystem und -Rechnerprobleme mit)

Erstmal die releaste ds-Version herunterladen und auf Windows ablegen.
Dann Rechner unter Linux (SuSE 10.0) neu booten....

Alte Konfiguration holen und gegen neue prüfen.
Achnee, das hat sich ja geändert.
"make menuconfig" aufrufen. Das produziert jede Menge Warnungen läuft im Endeffekt aber doch durch.
Allerdings sind die dann sichtbaren Masken fast nicht lesbar, alles völlig verschoben ???
Naja, mit etwas Mühe und Not kann ich meine Einstellungen vornehmen.
Download-Location ignoriere ich, ich habe ja die Firmware schon lokal...

Jetzt habe ich keinen Bock mehr, ich gehe ins Bett :cry:
Mal ganz abgesehen davon, dass ich mal wieder mit Rechner- und Betriebssystemproblemen gekämpft habe,
finde ich das neue Verfahren wesentlich umständlicher als das alte
"ich trage einfach in eine Datei ein, was ich haben will".
Auch das mit dem zusätzlichen Download der Pakete finde ich etwas unglücklich.
Vielleicht solltest Du da die Möglichkeit geben, hier im ersten Thread auch diese direkt herunterladbar zu machen.
Im README sollte dann natürlich auch stehen, wo das Zeug hinmuss :lol:

Heute abend habe ich leider keine Zeit - ich denke, ich werde mich morgen abend nochmals damit beschäftigen.
Dann hoffentlich ohne Rechnerprobleme :roll:

Hmm, interessant, das muss ich mir über Weihnachten genauer anschauen. Dachte immer es hängt wenn dann am Anfang, wo er das Contiguous Squashfs mtd Device erstellt (da sind 2 NOTICE Meldungen, die von Olivers und meinem Patch kommen), aber die Kernel Panic kommt ja erst nachdem schon init läuft...

Mal schauen. Auf den 7050er Boxen scheint es das Problem noch nicht gegeben zu haben.
EDIT3: Hat anscheinend doch schon auf ner fon WLAN 7050 Probleme gegeben...

Ich hab das bewußt so gemacht, dass die Pakete nun ausgegliedert sind, weil ich nicht jedesmal die Pakete in meinem Mod aktualisieren wollte. Dieses rumkopieren... So bleibt auch die Aktualisierung größtenteils bei dem, der das Paket macht. Ich will eigentlich nur noch die ./make*/*.mk Dateien anpassen. Für alle Windows Nutzer versuch ich es mal mit cygwin hinzubekommen (habs noch nie probiert).

Die Pakete wenn dann auch einfach nach ./dl/ kopieren, das Auspacken wird dann automatisch gemacht.
Wenn du lieber Textfiles editierst, dann mach einfach folgendes:

Heu, das Problem scheint in dem Skript /usr/bin/modload aufzutreten, welche das Verzeichnis /tmp/flash aus dem Character Device holt.

Der Build-Lauf funktioniert wieder einwandfrei - ich musste mir halt nur den Frust von der Seele schreiben, was wieder alles schiefgeht, wenn ich "nur" den Mod übersetzen will :x
Aber Eure Probleme sind wesentlich wichtiger als meine "Build-Wehwehchen" :wink:
(ich traue mich wg. den Problemen jetzt nicht, mein gebautes Image zu flashen :roll: )

Achja, das mit der seltsam verwürfelten menuconfig muss ich nochmal versuchen und die Warnungen genauer anschauen.
Beim Kernel funktioniert es übrigens problemlos bei mir 8)

Könntest du bitte auch noch im der /usr/bin/modload (also im Mod unter ./root/usr/bin/modload) die erste Zeile um "#! /bin/sh -x" erweitern? Da es ja anscheinend nicht am Bauen des Image liegt, gehe ich davon aus, dass es vielleicht durch die neue Busybox kommt (hab auf 1.1.0-pre1 ge"up"t). Das Skript /usr/bin/modload bleibt ja anscheinend an irgendeiner Stelle abhängig durch irgendwas Box-spezifisches hängen, bis es als Hänger erkannt wird und es zum Neustart kommt.

@alle-windows-user-und-cygwin-fans:
Bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass die nächste oder übernächste Version auch mit cygwin gebaut werden kann.

Neben der guten Beschreibung zum Inst und Konfig waere eine Anleitung zum Reparieren super. (Gilt auch fuer andere Faelle und Mods).

Als Anfaenger war ich ziemlich aufgeschmissen.
Prima waere eine step-by-step Beschreibung in Eskalationsstufen der Art wenn-dann-sonst

Ohne Plan habe ich erstmal mtd3 und mtd4 geleert.
Geholfen hat aber wohl das Einspielen von fs.image und kernel.image ohne chksums via adam2 nach dieser Beschreibung http://www.wehavemorefun.de/fritzbox/Hilfsprogramme_/_Tipps_&_Tricks#Firmware_wieder_herstellen

Nur ob das notwendig war, weiss ich bis jetzt nicht. Und auch mit viel Suchen konnte ich bisher keine passende Anleitung zu Symptomen finden.
(z.B. weiss ich auch nicht, wie Menschen an den consolen-output rankommen, aber das nur nebenbei und mir wuerds vielleicht auch gar nicht helfen?)

Hi danisahne!

Es existiert nun ein gefixtes dumpsquashfs von enrik (an bekanntem Ort) für den erfolgreichen Einsatz mit den aktuellen fbf 5012/5010 Images. Da die 5012 allerdings nicht zwischen filesystem.image und kernel.image trennt und einfach alles ins kernel.image gepackt wird, müssten für die Funktion deines mods hier wohl einige Änderungen vorgenommen werden. Würdest du dies evtl. ins Auge fassen?
Gerade die 5012 wird, durch die einfache Möglichkeit des Umrüstens einer bereits bestehenden ISDN-Telefonanlage auf VoIP, sicher einige Abnehmer und damit Interessenten an deinem mod finden. :wink:
