GEMINAX® - GEMINAX® Family
Global Enhanced Multiport Integrated ADSL Transceiver
The GEMINAX ® (Global Enhanced Multiport INtegrated ADSL Xceiver)chipset is an 8 channel ADSL/ADSL2 solution for Central Office, DSLAM, and DLC applications. It supports all relevant industry standards and allows a seamless upgrade to ADSL2.
In combination with Infineon's VINETIC ® family of voice processors the GEMINAX ® provides a modular hardware platform for linecards supporting Integrated Voice/Data (IVD) with optional Voice-over-Packet (VoP) functionality.
GEMINAX® MAX - GEMINAX® Family
Global Enhanced Multiport Integrated ADSL Transceiver
The GEMINAX ® MAX is the ADSL2+ chipset of the GEMINAX ® (Global Enhanced Multiport INtegrated ADSL Xceiver) family. The chipset comes in two flavors: 8-channel or 16-channel data pump + 8-channel analog frontend, 2-channel line driver. The chip set is an ADSL/ADSL2 and ADSL2+ solution for Central Office, DSLAM, DLC and MSAP applications. GEMINAX ® MAX allows downstream data rates up to 24 Mbps over all channels and fully supports the latest international standards for ADSL, ADSL2, and ADSL2+. Due to its pin compatibility the 8-channel version also offers a seamless, future proof upgrade towards ADSL2+ for existing GEMINAX ®-based designs. In combination with Infineon's VINETIC ® family of voice processors the GEMINAX ® provides a modular hardware platform for linecards supporting Integrated Voice/Data (IVD) with optional Voice-over-Packet (VoP) functionality.
VINAX™ Family 1st Generation
Dual Port Full Rate VDSL2/ ADSL2 +
The VINAX™-CO VDSL2 chip set addresses Central Office and Remote Terminal (RT) applications and is part of Infineon's complete VDSL2 end-to-end solution. Based on a 2-chip architecture VINAX™-CO enables system vendors to increase the line card densitiy above 48 ports. Designed for 30MHz bandwidth and fully software configurable, VINAX™-CO provides flexible bandplan as well as service settings to allow a single hardware platform to serve global deployment. Data rates ranging up to 100Mbps symmetrical make VINAX™-CO the ideal chip-set for both long range CO and short range MxU applications.Backwards compatible and interoperable with existing ADSL/2/2+ solutions VINAX™-CO facilitates a clear and smooth migration path for upgrading existing broadband access networks and the eployment of a single platform for both VDSL2 and ADSL/2/2+. Mutliple interfaces in combination with the built-in AAL5 interworking functionality make for universal VDSL2 system designs that can meet any network requirement and deployment scenario. The VINAX™-CO is complemented by Infineon.s VINAX™-CPE, a single-chip VDSL2 solution targeting CPE and advanced Home Gateway applications

VDSL2 (Very-high-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line)
Infineon VINAX™ V2.1 is the newest generation of VDSL2/ADSL/2/2+ chipsets for Central Office based applications. It includes dedicated variants for 8-MHz, 12/17-MHz, and 30-MHz applications. These options allow system vendors to offer highly optimized VDSL2/ADSL2+ systems for Exchange, Cabinet, and MxU market segments.
The three -L, -M, and -S variants are optimized in terms of their density, power, and cost to support the large-scale deployment of VDSL2 technology in next-generation telecom networks. All three variants are based upon a 3-chip architecture, and support line-card densities of 48 ports or higher. They are ADSL/2/2+ backwards compatible (up to 20.5 dBm) and offer full programmability (PSD, band plan, etc.) without any need for external filters.
