2002L AOL, De-Branding geschafft!

Das Branding ist weg! Die Lebensgeister auch!

Das "Debranding" hat super funktioniert, danke für die tolle Anleitung!
Ich habe nach dem Neustart auch mit ATSH die geänderten Daten gesehen.
Als ich versuchte per Lan auf das Ding zu kommen, hat es sich aufgehängt.
Neustart, Reset erfolglos!
Wenn ich die Versorgung anstecke leuchtet die Led dauernd grün.
Wahrscheinlich muss ich den Zyxel entsorgen. Oder hat jemand eine Idee?

Was genau wird Dir bei "ATSH" auf der Konsole angezeigt? ->Screen-Shot
Antwortet das Gerät auf ping? ->ping 192.168.5.1
Hast Du ein Factory-Default-Reset ausgeführt? ->RESET-Knopf an der Rückseite länger als 7s drücken

Danke für die Antwort, aber ich fürchte das Ding ist edgültig tot!
Keine Antwort auf das pingen, kein Signal am RS232 Port.
Die Grüne LED blinkt auch nicht beim einschalten...

sorry to speak english in that's forum,

i am trying to flash my zyxel but i do not succeed, i have the serial cable like stayed on page 5. eveything is connected but nothing happen when i start hyper terminal, set to 9600, 8 , 1 the two others parameters are set to none.

plz help me.

For ZicZAC: Could you explain to me the entire procedure to debrand AOL ZYXEL PRESTIGE 2002L in English. I bought this prestige on ebay and I can't use it. Tell me, please!!!

1) Before to do anything check the latest firmware of your AOL Prestige:

Must be that one: 3.60(ML.1)C0

If not download the latest to: ftp://ftp.zyxeltech.de/P2002L_AOL/fi...0_Standard.zip

2) Once done, download the original too but do not make the update now:

3) Get a C55 siemens cable:

Connect the: Prestige 2002L to a NoName-Siemens-Handy-Datenkabel

O 3.3V
O TXD --> TXD-Kabel (DataOut) O --- 3
O RXD --> RXD-Kabel (DataIn) O ---- 4
X NC
O GND --> GND-Kabel O ---- 2

4) Open your Hyperterminal and configure it to: 9600,8,N,1

And then you should be prompted by this:

Press any key to enter debug mode within 3 seconds.
.......................

5) Type this command

ATHE (show help)

ATSH (dump manufacturer related data in ROM)

ATBA5 (change the speed to max 115000)

* Disconnect your terminal server and change the speed to 115000
The reconnect to your terminal serer.

ATSE (show the seed of password generator)

Go here type the seed password

and then replaced it here:

ATEN1,xxxxxxxx (enter the debug password)

ATCL -> clear working buffer
OK

ATCB -> copy from FLASH ROM to working buffer
OK

ATPNPrestige 2002L -> set product name to "Prestige 2002L" in working buffer
OK

ATFE1,02 -> set feature bit 1 to "02" in working buffer
OK

ATBT1 -> set block0 write enable
OK

ATSB -> save working buffer to FLASH ROM
OK

ATDC -> disable check model mechanism
OK

ATLC -> upload router configuration file to flash ROM
Starting XMODEM upload (CRC mode)....
CCCCC.....

*.rom download the the rom from the menu "XMODEM" send/transfer

ATUR -> upload router firmware to flash ROM
Starting XMODEM upload (CRC mode)....
CCCCC.....

*.bin download the the rom from the menu "XMODEM" send/transfer

Just wait until the router will reboot., then disconnect again from your terminal server and reconnect, the router will ask you for your password.
You can now turn off your router and connect it to your pc.

Use following IP address on your browser: 192.168.5.1
and the password for 1234.

Enjoy it!

It's clearly explain, and if you look at all the pics in that topic you will understand that you need to open your zyxel, you will find 4 pins to connect it to the c55 cable, you need to wire the c55 cable plug to the prestige as describe above.

well you will need two cables:
1) A cable to connect to the zyxel
2) A C55 siemens cable that connect from your serial port to the cable 1)

So you will need to find a way to wire the plug of the C55 cable (phone plug).

Don't know how to be more clear.

i have try and i get blocked to the step to upload to rom in the modem

i have the original rom file *. go to transfert > xmodem crc and nothing happen

Is it necessary the serial cable or I can do the same with the usb c55 data cable???

I really don't know, but if you look at the previous post, some users used a usb cable, for me it was easier with a serial cable.

Maybe someone can tell you how to do it with a usb cable.

What i know the pins of the C55 is exactly the same.

I have tried to use an original Siemens S55 serial cable. I did the wiring as explained in this thread and connected pin 2,3 and 4 to the Zyxel. But when I make a call with Hyper Terminal nothing happens. I do not see any message at all.

Is the S55 serial cable not suitable? Do I need to make a modification to the cable? Also I don't understand where the power for the zyxel has to come from. Do I need to have the power adapter plugged in, so that the zyxel is turned on?

Wire your zyxel and then start ur hyperterminal and power on your zyxel!
