It has been a while since I did mine, but you will have change the box to AVME from AVM here otherwise it will not accept the new firmware. Also when it is done you will have to use the software scripts from haveaniceday to change to Annexe A, these are found here hope this helps

agreed, but 7270 firmwares are: International 54.04.67 , Build 09.01.28 Language : English, Italian, Spanish, Annex: A and B German: annexe A Version: 54.04.70 Datum: 25.02.2009 so the version numbers in both instance start with the 54

did you try using the annexe a patches? It worked on my 7170, so may do for your new wizzy box. You dont need to ftp or telnet, just use firmware update in the fritz menu, just as you would do for a firmware update or labour install. If it comes back with update failed with no errors then that...
