mal auf english:
i got myself a AVM Fritz!box fon to be able to call through VOIP. I changed its ipadres so it can be reached from my LAN, works ok

i entered all the voipbuster data that also work on my speedtouch 716, but i am not able to call
I keep getting these errors:
05.03.06 10:57:28 Anmeldung der Internetrufnummer sander815 war nicht erfolgreich. Ursache: DNS-Fehler
or
05.03.06 11:22:02 Anmeldung der Internetrufnummer sander815 war nicht erfolgreich. Ursache: Gegenstelle antwortet nicht. Zeitüberschreitung.

DNS must be working ok, because when i connect a laptop to the fritz box through USB, internet is working fine, voipbuster on the laptop is working fine too. I also tried entering ips instead of sip1.voipbuster.com etc.

my config: cable modem < -wlan- >wrt54g<-wlan->wrt54gs<lan>fritz!box
what am i doing wrong?

You have a multi-router configuration and I suspect something to be wrong with the routing there. Can you provide details about the number of IP addresses you get from the cable modem, in which mode the routers operate, what the Internet configuration of the Fritz!Box Fon is like, etc...

Theoretically, you should be able to configure your voipbuster account in the FBF.

--gandalf.

cablemodem-------------wrt54g --------------wrt54gs -------------- Fritz!box fon
outside ip............wan: 84.30.2xx.xx............(ethernet bridge)
84.30.2xx.xx-------lan: 192.168.1.1----------lan: 192.168.1.3--------- lan: 192.168.1.5

the wrt54g is the main router, the gs acts as bridge for my wired computers
the fbf is connected to the gs

The FBF seems to have problems with some routers with respect to DNS, so you could try to enter DNS servers directly in the FBF. Also, there is an nslookup command on the FBF (telnet to it and type "nslookup NAME") to test DNS.

Other than that, you should probably try that connection with registrar only first, then add a proxy if necessary. STUN may not be needed (try without first). What are the settings you use there?

Cheers,
--gandalf.

ill try the direct dns tonight

telnetting isn't working:
[sander:~] sander% telnet 192.168.1.5
Trying 192.168.1.5...
telnet: connect to address 192.168.1.5 Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host
[sander:~] sander%

i have it working now

but, why can't i telnet to my FBF?

Sandoz I am very interested in how you got the Fritzbox and the ethernet bridge to work. What setting did you use? Did you give the Fritzbox a static IP address?

Did you switched ON telnet? (default FBF = OFF)

And:
In earlier answers theu mentioned VOIPBUSTER
In the title of this thread you mentioned voipstunter!

voipbuster is working fine with outgoing calls, not working incoming calls (don't no at the moment what's wrong :confused:); environment (FBF as modem/router DNS-server --> switch --> Wlan Accesspoint;
voipstunt is dead

For both accounts i'm using dutch voip-in numbers
