Fritz Fon Ata - Firmware to convert German to English

This is NOT a german Firmware! This is an international Firmware with german Text only!: FritzBox_Fon_ata avme de 11.03.64 (Austria Schweiz Edition)

This Firmware needs "oem" = "avme"

Real german Firmware need "oem" = "avm"

Great news I have managed to get it working!

I used recover to load fritz.box_fon_ata.de.11.03.64.image
Switched off the unit for a min.
Loaded web interface
The applied fritz.box_fon_ata.en.11.03.08.image using web interface.

I'm almost there....

I did the telnet thing, then I used recover to load fritz.box_fon_ata.de.11.03.64.image, but when I reboot the FBF nothing happens. The Web interface never appears.

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Don't worry - I got there.

The telnet command in several of the previous message is wrong.

Instead of: echo "firmware_version avm" > /proc/avalanche/env

You need to useL echo "firmware_version avme" > /proc/avalanche/env

I am about to get a FRITZ!Box Fon ata from Germany. It will probably have the German firmware on it and I would like to convert it as well to English.

I am trying to get all the files ready so I can flash it as soon as it arrives. I am trying to download the file you mentioned from this website:

but am unable to load the webpage.

Do you have a copy of that file?

One other question. If I am successful with this conversion from German to English firmware, will I from now on be able to just update the firmware normally to the latest English version that comes out?

Hi,

I have FRITZ!Box Fon ata 1020, Firmware-Version 11.04.01 (german - it was freenet edition but I have just remove it) and I am trying to load into it an english firmware (11.04.01)

when I'm rebooting my fritz and running command:

recover -f fritz.austia.image (this is international firmware ver 11.04.01) I get error = 1 (can not find fritz???)

what is wrong??? do you have any suggestions???
