Annex A 7170,7140, xx70,5010,5012

Oke, de 5010 box is now working with the parameters i have from my provider.
I can use the internet, i can use the internet telefoon, but my "lifeline" is not working.
If somewhone call me on my "festnetz" the phone is not responding.
If i try to make a call tru the "festnetz" with the box its not working.

sounds like there are some cabeling problems. maybe the landline is not connected properly to the FritzBox. I guess you had to solder an adapter for your account. Maybe you can doublecheck this...

I have a lot of questions......
I dont think the problem is in the cable, i use the pins 4&5 for DSL and 3&6 for analoge telefone.
These pins are sent to me from another 5010 user and its working overthere.
There is something strange with my box, when the internet is down and i will make a telefonecall the box is switching to "FESTNETZ" thats oke.
1/ But when i connect the "landline" to pin 3&6 he's not switching anymore.
2/ Something strange to, when i toutch with my finger the wire's 3 or 6 when the "landline" is disconnected the bell ringing and the "festnetz"lamp is on.
3/ The box is not happy with a connected landline, is it possible that the phone entree is ISDN or is the 5010 standard analoge?
4/ The internal switching to "festnetz" / VOIP is it is it fully electronic or is a relais used?

I think the switching is done by transistors only, since I can not hear any relay, but this is just an assumption.

PS: can you please post the providers ATM settings in the mentioned thread. Maybe the next user with the same provider can save some time...

Answer 1/ I have a analoge account....

Answer 2/ I will explane pointnr 2.
Normaly the bel must ring when ther is a call on the landline.
Normaly the box switches to the landline when the ADSL is down, its not working by my box.
The wires 3&6 in the box are normaly connected with the landline, when i disconnect the's wires and i toutch the points 3 or 6 on the box with my fingers the bell is ringing and the lamp "festnetz" is on.
The box is not happy when i connect the landline....

Fritz 5010

The box that i buy from internet is damaged by the telefone entree, maybe high voltage.
I moved out the defect parts en fixed the broken connections and the box is working now.
Be carefull when you buy a box that is "NICHT AUF FUNKTION ODER SONSTIGES GEPRÜFT" on the internet.
It will save you a lot of time....

7170 Annex A realy works?

First time scuze me for using english.( I work to learn german).
I buy from Germany a 7170 FW 29.04.10 Annex B. I also have not experience working with Linux. Please somebody explain it to me how to secure the box against to made any changes, and how to instal an Annex A software. I live in Romania, were I have POTS ADSL on RTC(Clicknet). I was also read all posts and I was searched the forum for information but :noidea: for a beginner I think the standard its a litle bit too high ( like all german standards
You can also answer to me in german because I understand.

FritzBox 7140 nach Annex A kein DSL signal?

I have a fritzbox 7140, most of the boxes I read here are 7050/7170 and 5010

At this point I have it running with the German firmware fritz.box_fon_wlan_7140.30.04.12.image.

I tried the fritz_as_avm_annex_a_kernel_args.tar script which changes the Annex B to Annex A in the webinterface, in telnet still Annex B.

But when I connect the DSL line and configure the VPI/VCI 0/35 the fritzbox does not detect any signal at all.

When I received it and only run the script above I had signal but I went on to change it to Englosh as well, after the last recovery I don't get any dsl signal at all.

I can connect with ftp/telnet/web to the device but in ftp lots of commands find here do not work like "quote SETENV annex,A"

Does someone have an idea what to do next?? Thanks

Downgrade it to FRITZ.Box_Fon_WLAN_7140.30.04.04.image
and after mod.to annex A it's possible to connect.

FOR DOWNGRADE USE downgrade2 WINRAR-----see somewhere on this forum

In my case i had a lot of disconnects with 7140.30.04.04. but maybe this works well for you.:noidea:

Thanks for the respond:
It worked to downgrade the firmware but the DSL signal synchronisation was really bad, sometimes there was sync, but after that it was gone.

I noticed in the newer firmwares the fritzbox could also be connected over lan1 to a dsl modem, I am going to check that out now.

So a dsl modem which passes the public ip to the fritzbox on lan1

Thats how it works here also.So than your 7140 works as ATA.Just take the voip and router function.
To receive the 7140 you have to connect an second utp cable between your modem and the fritzbox!!!!!

Ich habe gerade eine 7071 in der Mache.
Folgendes Problem

ich habe mit cygdrive folgende Anweisung befolgt:

- Downloade das Image von AVM welches zu deiner Box passt.
- Das tar-File xx70_annex_a.tar hier aus dem Thread runterladen.
- mit "tar xvf xx70_annex_a.tar" das File auspacken.
- cd xx70_annex_a
- ./fritz_xx70_annex_a.sh
Und dann das entstandene Image auf deine Fritzbox laden.

Nach dem ich das dadurch entstandene Image auf die Box geladen habe bekam ich eine Fehlermeldung und obwohl ich diese ignorierte brach er die Aktualisierung ab.

Kann das daran liegen, dass ich die aktuelle Firmware (7170.29.04.29.image )drauf habe.
Muß da auf eine bestimmte Version drauf gespielt werden ?

Wenn ja vermute ich mal die 7170.29.04.01.image, ich finde die aber nicht.
Sollte dies der Fall sein, wäre es schön, wenn mir da mal jemand einen Link geben könnte.

Hurra - noch einer mit meinem Problem!

ich such schon in etlichen Foren und immer wieder höre ich man muss die 29.04.01 haben und patchen. Nirgends steht wo man die herbekommt. Bei AVM gibbet ja nur die aktuelle .29!!!!

Es gibt keine gepatchten Images hier im Forum! So wurde ich belehrt, da es ein Urheberrechtsproblem gibt. Es gibt allerdings wohl auch keine ungepatchten Images. Ich dreh mich im Kreis.

Also ich habe jetzt:
fritz as avm annex a kernel args.tar
7170.29.04.29 image

und keine Peilung wie es weiter gehen soll

Bei mir läuft das jetzt bestens, ich habe genau die gleiche Erfahrung gemacht wie Du, dass ich mich hier ständig im Kreis gedreht habe.
Dieses Problem wird hier nicht sehr clever erklärt und über die Suche kommt man immer zu den selben unzureichenden Ergebnissen.

Wenn Du solche Dinge suchst mußt Du hier suchen, da man dies zentralisiert hat, aber auch dies eigentlich nur nach langem Forumstudium findet.

Du mußt mit Recover 29.04..01.exe einfach starten und dann der Anleitung folgen. Bei mir hat das nicht gleich beim ersten Mal geklappt, mußte erst den Rechner runterfahren, da sich das Programm mit einem anderen gebissen hat.
Wenn der Prozess fertig ist, steht Deine Box wieder auf 29.04.01.
Danach kannst Du die Box ohne Probleme auf Annex_a umschießen.
Die Geschwindigkeit wird etwas langsamer sein, fällt aber hier in Spanien kaum ins Gewicht.

Leider habe ich Deine E-Mailadresse nicht gefunden, sonst hätte ich Dir eine Recover 29.04.01 geschickt.
Schick mir eine Deine Daten, dann schicke ich Dir die Recover und die Annex_a.

Der Link führt zu einem Thread für Firmware. Ich hatte dort schon meine Anfrage geposted und statt einer Antwort wurde meine Anfrage gelöscht, weil gepatchte Files gegen das Urheberrecht verstossen würden. Also ist auch nicht mit einer Antwort zu rechnen.

Falls AVM so kleinkariert sein sollte, dann muss man halt einen Workaround finden und die Files auf einem anderen Server anbieten und hier einen Link setzen. Allerdings wollte ich hier keine Diskussion über Boardregeln starten, sondern nur meine Firmware bekommen.

Vielen Dank für die schnelle Hilfe. Ohne die 29.04.01 wäre man ja chancenlos und man könnte die Fritzbox eigentlich nur in die Tonne treten.

Ich habe hier mal eine kleine Anleitung geschrieben, damit auch andere was davon haben.

1. Annex_a lässt sich nur aufspielen, wenn die Firmware "fritz.box_fon_wlan_7170.29.04.01.image" auf der Box ist.

2. Sollte dies der Fall sein dann die Datei "fritz_as_avm_annex_a_kernel_args.tar" über die Firmware Updaten einspielen.

Hiernach sollte die Box ohne einen Fehler anzuzeigen auf annex_a laufen

3 Sollte eine höhere Firmware auf der Box sein und und sich das Umsetzen auf "fritz.box_fon_wlan_7170.29.04.01.image" nicht durchführen lassen, muss die Box recoverd werden. Hier bietet sich die "FRITZ.Box_Fon_WLAN_7170.04.01.recover-image.exe" an. Evtl. muss der Rechner wärend des Recoverns mal runtergefahren werden, da das Programm mit anderen kollidiert.
Nach Beendigung des Recover steht die Box auf der Firmware Version 7170.29.04.01
Nun einfach Schritt 2. noch durchführen und dann steht die Box auf annex_a.

Bitte frag nicht hier nach den oben angegeben Programmen oder Images da Anfragen hier gelöscht werden.

Nachdem ich meine fb 7170 das alte 29.04.01 image eingespielt habe (dazu habe ein fritz.box_fon_wlan_7170.04.04.recover-image.exe genutzt und dieses dann mit downgrade.tar auf den downgrade auf ...01 forbereitet.

Als modem und router funktioniert meine fb jetzt prima. Danke an alle die mir soweit geholfen haben.

Meine Internetverbindung (TDC) baue ich gemäß RFC1483/RFC2684 auf. Die nötigen VPI/ VCI 0/101 einstellugen habe ich mir über ein dänisches Forum ergoogelt. Meine IP adresse beziehe ich via DHCP.

Festnetz habe ich aufgrund des unbrauchbaren y-Kabels nicht angeschlossen, stattdessen geht die box direkt via eines normalen Telefonkabels in die Telefondose.

Bei der Einrichtung der IP-Telefonie bin ich jetzt auf ein Problem gestoszen, welches im ATA modus in höhren fw Versionen so noch nicht hatte:

Die fb poppt beim speichern der IP konfiguration eine message box auf die besagt in etwa: "die fb box verfügt momentan nicht über die Zugangsdaten für die Internet verbindung .."

Lustig ist das diese für meine Art der Einwahl gar nicht nötig sind.

Eine deutsche AOL IP verbindung wird als registriert angezeigt ist jedoch alles andere als registriert. Kein Freizeichen, Anruf auf AOL Nummer ergibt "... z.Z. nicht erreichbar"

Hat jemand eine Idee?

Du mußt doch eine Zugangskennung eintragen, wie soll denn die Box wissen, welche Nummer die Anbieter hat.
Der Eintrag wird wohl früher drin gewesen sein und ist durch das Recovern gelöscht worden.
Die Eintragungen mußt Du natürlich jetzt wieder unter Internet / Zugangsdaten in der Box vornehmen.
