I am having a problem with DTMF tones to sipdiscount , other providers work fine. Is there a setting anywhere on the Fritz!box fon wlan (08.04.02 international) that will pass the DTMF using sipdiscount ? Or is this a known problem with sipdiscount Thanks :confused:

That doesn't work - i can set it to UK , but when you go back to the setting it is still other . I have flashed the German fon wlan to be a UK fon wlan , also I don't have g729 codec with this ?

Apologies !! Didn't realise babelfish was that bad !! I have flashed a German fon wlan to 08.04.02 English (thanks haveaniceday) but it seems I cannot change the countrycode from 99 to 44 (UK) Is there any way to modify the country code ? Danke

Yep the regional settings in the box . I wondered if maybe it was possible to dump the config out , vi it and then stick it back , but with country code set to 44 , instead of 99

Has anyone found a way of getting the country code to 44 on a german converted fon wlan ? I am hoping this will give UK dial and ring tone

Does a "real" uk box give a proper dialtone on voip ? rather than the continental one ? Is this another problem with the "hack" not giving correct tone or are they all like this anyway :noidea:

Hi Darbid , Now on 08.04.02 - no G729 codec and also same problem with regional setting , change it to English --> apply ---> reboot and its back to other !! In fact if you go away from that config screen and back it will go back to "other" as well

mmmmmm telnet to the box now shows ANNEX='A' however parameter CONFIG_ANNEX='B' ??? Is that normal , I dont have adsl at the moment (am on cable) so cant check if it is working :confused:

Hi Darbid , changed the script to 04.02 and it worked fine , however with an original annex B it knows that the annex A 04.02 is not correct and will not upgrade , so am upgrading using the tar file now :p

Have debrande but cant run the script as the only download file is now 08.04.02 :( , can the script be modified to run on this version or do I need to find 08.04.01 ??? (annex B) and will then convert to annex A

Can anyone that has done an english conversion of a German branded box to Annex A English - write an idiots guide from start to finish ? I am still unsure exactly what i need to do The box is original Fon Wlan (firmware AOL 08.03.96) I know it must be rebranded first , but how ? Thanks

Sorry to hijak this thread I am cosidering purchasing a Fritz!bx fon wlan on Ebay and converting it to annex a and english . However I have not got adsl (on NTL cablemodem and linksys wireless router). Can I use the Fritzbox voip functionality without using the adsl modem ? i.e. can it be...

Or can it be used behind my router not using the internal modem at all ? Danke

Apologies for posting in English I currently have Cable internet in UK so WAN connection is RJ45 (from Cable modem) Can the Fritz!box fon Wlan be configured to use wan from the lan port or be cascaded from my existing router via lan ?? Eventually I will be getting ADSL :confused:
