"unknown symbol" beim laden von kernel-modulen

Die svn version (freetz-trunk)? stellt leider keine compile-option fuer die 7113 zur verfuegung, beginnt mit 7140. Bin ich nur zu bloed den link zu finden?
jo, definitiv mein fehler. manchmal bin ich einfach zu bloed zum scrollen - tut mir leid.
Ich hab das image kompiliert. Ich probiere es heute nachmittag mal aus und sag dann, ob und wie es geklappt hat.

Output der seriellen Konsole
So, hier der Output der seriellen Konsole.
Erstmal normales Freetz (kein Booten via usbroot, usermand befindet sich im Image:
Danach funktioniert die Box einwandfrei.
Jetzt das gleiche, gebootet mit usbroot, usermand befindet sich im Image:
Auch hier funktioniert die Box einwandfrei.
Jetzt, gebootet mit usbroot und OHNE usermand (interessant wirds erst am Schluss - anfangen kann ich damit nichts
)
Das fett gedruckte wird gleich nachdem die Internet-Lampe (nicht die DSL-Lampe) angeht, bzw. zeitgleich ausgegeben. Dann rebootet die Box.
Verwendet habe ich bei allen dreien exakt dasselbe Image (Freetz trunk 3405 und AVM-FW 49.04.58 , nur einmal direkt vom Flash gebootet, und die anderen zwei Male vom usb-Stick, davon einmal mit usermand und einmal ohne)
Vielleicht könnt ihr ja was damit anfangen.
P.S.: Soll ich den Thread irgendwie umbenennen?

Eva_AVM >[/B]Verwendet habe ich bei allen dreien exakt dasselbe Image (Freetz trunk 3405 und AVM-FW 49.04.58 , nur einmal direkt vom Flash gebootet, und die anderen zwei Male vom usb-Stick, davon einmal mit usermand und einmal ohne)
Vielleicht könnt ihr ja was damit anfangen.

Passiert das jetzt nur mit USB-Root? Ich würde erwarten, dass alleine das entfernen des usermand diesen Panic hervorruft.

Ja, sorry, ich wollte halt blos kein defektes Image auf dem Flash der Box haben, deshalb hab ichs per usbroot probiert. Verhält sich aber ohne usbroot genauso, und zwar nur bei "replace kernel".

Okay. Wenn das nur mit "replace kernel" passiert, dann verhält sich der von Freetz gebaute Kernel anders wie das Original. Hier haben wir das Problem, dass AVM uns keine .config für die 3170 berreitstellt. Was sie eigentlich müssten.

So, ich habe jetzt das neue image ausprobiert. Die effekte sind die gleichen wie mit dem alten. Ohne kernel-replace bekomme ich unknown symbols, mit laeuft die box instabil.

Das problem ist, dass ich einfach auf der box nicht genug platz habe, um die logs fuer mehr als 2-4 Stunden zu speichern. ich habe es mit einem netcat-script probiert, bekomme aber keine verbindung zwischen box zustande ("Invalid connection")? fuer vsftpd ist auf der box leider kein platz und mit tftp krieg ich die dateien nicht auf den vsftpd auf dem rechner.

Mach erst mal "echo STD_PRINTK > /dev/debug" (evtl. geht dann DECT bis zum Neustart nicht mehr). Dann versuchst du das Modul zu laden und schaust anschließend mit dmesg welches Symbol genau fehlt.

Der Stick ist heute angekommen und wurde erwartungsvoll an die 7270 gesteckt.
Da ich im Vorfeld schon recherchiert hatte, was mich da erwartet, ist das Ergebnis nicht ganz so überraschend.
Er will ein Firmware Image über das Firmware Subsystem des Kernels nachladen und das schlägt fehl.
Jetzt meine Fragen:
Wo will das Modul pfadmäßig denn da hingreifen (absoluter Pfad) ?
laut Treiber Doku sollen die Firmware Images nach /lib/firmware/zd1211 ?!
Das ist auf der Box ja leider ein ro Filesystem auf der Box ...
Im Source Code des Treibers (zd_usb.c)wird der Pfad Prefix definiert:
Habt Ihr da einen Tip für mich, um das Modul mit dem passenden Pfad zu beglücken ?

Wenn Du schon hier bei Freetz fragst, da gibt es Möglichkeiten, eigene Dateien ins Dateisystem zu bringen. Ansonsten gibt es noch das "mount --bind".

Schön wäre ein Link von /lib/firmware auf /var/tmp/firmware.
