Help for setting Fritzbox 7170 for voip in Kabel BW

Kabel-BW does not support either Fritz!Box Fon (of any sort) or ActionVoIP. Consequently, that would not necessarily lead anywhere except to spending money on the hotline ;-)

On the "Zugangsdaten" form, the very last item is the MAC address field. At least, it's there in my 5050's firmware.

Ok.Thanks. I will try & keep posted..... so might be It will helpful for Other member...........

BTW,What is this Fair-Use Policy?

Thanks & Have a nice Holiday ahead...........

6)Only I called directly tel nr to India (As I always use to do with Telekom) like 0091xxxxxxxxxxx Should I use Suffix *121 before 0091xxxxxxxxx ?(here I am little confused....)
Also second Analoge phone port in Fritzbox, I did settings for SIPGATE VOIP & works fine (I use it without any *12#

Bet your problem is here! You configured Sipgate on analoge phone port #2 (Fon 2 on page "Telefoniegeräte") and connected physically a telephone to port #2 (supposing your 7170 is version 2 with two different analoge phone jacks). So Sipgate works!

You configured ActionVoip on analoge phone port #1(Fon 1) but did NOT connect any phone to jack #1. So ActionVoip does not work and cannot do so!

You may either connect a telephone (physically) to analoge jack #1 and configure another (physical) telephone to "Fon 1" (on page "Telefoniegeräte") or configure/associate ActionVoip account also to #2 - this way using only one telephone with two "lines" (Sipgate and ActionVoip) - in this case you would have to configure one of these 2 accounts as "default" and the other one dialing the corresponding prefix "12x"..)

BTW,What is this Fair-Use Policy?

Did you ever read the ActionVoip pages? in English?

Hi Imagomundi,

Thanks for reply. Yes.
1)I configured Fon2 for Sipgate & Fon1 for ActionVoip on page Telefoniegeräte. But for testing purpose to call from Actionvoip provider, I physically remove telephone jack from from port2(Sipgate) & fix it in Port1(actionvoip). so I always call from phone connected to port1(Actionvoip) on Fritzbox so there is physical phone connected to Actiovoip Port1 during my call.

2) I cannot configure one port for two different voip providers.............

I wiil delete this both configurations & make only one configuration for Actiovoip & check.

3) I have not read in detail the homepage of actionvoip only I read is rates & settings for SIP. Btw, where the "Fair-use" poliy is defined?

Thanks in advance. Have a nice Holiday today.

If you find any other Idea pls post it here, As Action voip settings are Important for the calls to India & I need to fix this Issue.

2) I cannot configure one port for two different voip providers.............

Why not? You can configure ALL your VoIP providers to only one analoge port using one telephone.

Please post a screenshot of these pages:

Telefoniegeräte
Internettelefonie (list of configured accounts)

3) I have not read in detail the homepage of actionvoip only I read is rates & settings for SIP. Btw, where the "Fair-use" poliy is defined?

As apparently ActionVoip does not offer any so called "FREE" Destinations" (as other BETAMAX brands do) there seems to be no "Fair Use Policy". In their FAQ you can also find some information regarding firewalls like NORTON, McAfee, PC-Cillin or ZoneAlarm - just in case this might finally be your problem. But I continue to bet that your problem is a wrong configuration of telephones and associated voip accounts. Therefore: please screenshots!

Hi Gandalf94305,Imagomundi,Gismotro & all others

Thank you all for all the help & support.

I have solved the problem.............. :huhu:

The thing I did that I deleted the my Actionvoip SIP settings from Telecom W701V router & also deleted Actionvoip as well as Sipgate settings from Fritzbox. Then I freshly configured(exactly like before) Fritzbox first for Actionvoip provider using port1 & tested it. It was working. Then also Port2 I configured for Sipgate exactly same way before.

Now port1 on Fritzbox uses Actionvoip provider & port2 uses Sipgate as provider. So both are working :D

Further more Also I configured Telecom Router(DSL valid till end of next week) again for Actiovoip, now that also working......

Once again Thanks a lot Guys for your patience, support, guidance & help.

@Imagomundi

Hi Imagomundi,

Thanks for all your help.I have one question.

is there any guidance on this forum?

Thanks in advance.

1. Question is off topic here

2. Actually I HAD an N95 in use until a few months ago and used it with any of my VoIP providers including BETAMAX

3. Yes, there is a [THREAD=202229] guidance in the forum[/THREAD]. Parts I and III give answers to your question - unfortunately in German only. You should try to practice some more the search function in the forum!

Thanks. Imagomundi.

Have a nice day & weekend ahead.
