I have a Fritzbox 7390 since a couple of years and never had any issue with it, recently I switched ADSL provider and it was also ok, but few days ago I requested an increase in the ADSL speed which was done immediately, and since then my fritz started rebooting very frequently, 4-5 times a day.

i enabled the syslogd in Freetz and I saw this message in the log:

MAybe for some reasons at the provider side, chronyd is unable to get the time, and immediately the daemon issues a shutdown command, which does everything a shutdown command is expected to do, then comes back on and connected to the internet.

how can I disable this behavior? if there is not provider just wait, don't restart.

Hope somebody can help me fix this issue....

Any ideas how to solve this issue?

I put a Fritz 7140 to make the connection to the adsl, and configured the 7390 to use internet by a cable modem on LAN1, and like this it neither Fritz reboots with this issue.

why is it that the 7390 with ADSL does these strange reboots?

thanks

Have you solve this issue?
I have similar problem with 7390.

Hello,

I think your problem will be a result of the "]system-load 100 %"

Once, with ADSL, I've had a behavior like this, when the error-counter have been risen so high, that the FB (7170) has made a reboot.

Check for the high load reason und your problem might be gone.
