flash Tcom tc300

Hello all ,

I hope to get some answers regarding my rather unsuccessful flash tries of the tc300 phone .
The last few days i have been reading in all sorts of German forums (not easy for me) .

It comes down to this :
I bought a Tcom TC300 phone , S/W version is D910.0.3.63 ; FFS version is FS_D910.0.2.60_DTC ; B/C version is BC_D910.0.16 .
Since the wifi reception is pretty poor and also the fact that i would like to have more sip profiles in this phone , I'm looking to flash it to the newest software version being PU_D910.0.3.99d_ACR.img (as far as i know) .

I have tried various ways :
1- trough the web (with my /webserver that hosts the update 99c) . it finds the update , asks me if i want to download it . I say yes , it starts downloading ... after some time i get memory full .
2- trough the software . connect --> 0000 , firmware update of 99c . at 30% i get memory full error .
3- trough software . connect ---> 0000 , start Dpl10-Flash R_3.99d_PIR_EN_DE.exe ---> Y . nothing happens after this .

Every time i have done ###4444# and ###810# .


I read on the WIKI page that the phone should have 32mb + 32mb memory .
But when i look in my phone manual it sais "Speicher ca. 2MB" . Could it be that there are versions of the phone with less memory , thus making a flash (5mbyte) impossible ?

What am i doing wrong ?

I'm looking to flash it to the newest software version being PU_D910.0.3.99d_ACR.img (as far as i know) .

at 30% i get memory full error .

-Use the Pirelli 3.99d in the attachment of the 3.99d thread.

-Programmer Error, really means Data Corrupted (Use a reliable USB/Wireless Connection and download zipped Firmware packages only, from http://www.siparladi.com e.g.).

Or try to flash up from older versions step by step.

You cannot use the DTC (Deutsche Telekom) 3.63, SIP compatibility issues.

Beware not to use a Firmware for the newer series with newer and other format flash chip only.

Few questions though , I try to look for the zipped firmware packages you mention on http://www.siparladi.com/ , but the site does not exist) .

I'm using a reliable wlan , and the default cable coming with the package . So those should be ok . In my third option (see first post) I tried the 3.99d package , but after replying "y" nothing happens at all . I turned off the phone , thinking it would restart by itself after flash is complete , but the only message i get is from the TC300 program saying 'connection lost' . Which is obvious .

Could it be i have a newer series phone ? I just bought it off ebay ..
If it's a newer version phone i don't know why they would flash it with such an old firmware though .

-It exists but it seems to be down for maintenance, try Monday.

-No. T-Com TC300 are old series spansion chip, see wiki.

I just stumbled upon a solution myself .

due to the memory full error i was looking for any memory settings in engineering mode - memory usage .
I tried a lot of them in the list , and finally ticked one called INTPOOL .
When ticked , it also showed on the main page 15000kb or so .
Then i could download a full flash image .

Flash worked . I don't know what the setting did , but it worked for me
