Hi all, sorry for the english but you look like the biggest fritzbox related forum around so hopefully someone here knows the answer and what I'm typing
I assume there's a way to bridge the fritzbox (I think they all implement RFC 1483), but is there a way to do this and retain the voip functionality?
I've done something similar with a Speedtouch router and it involves bridging via Eth1 and connecting another ethernet cable back to Eth2 (see http://homehubhacks.co.uk/index.php?n=HowTo.Bridge ) so both PSTN calls are available from the DSL port (which is otherwise bridged for ethernet packets) and SIP packets go via eth2 through my main router and back through the bridge.
I've also got a good feeling I should be able to do this on a fritzbox. But my problem right now is, can I do this with only one ethernet port? As I may be able to get a cheap one with only a single eth port, can I bridge it over there and somehow also retain voip functionality? I've got a feeling it's a no go but anyway... I guess I could always continue using my homehub for bridge, then plug in a free pstn line and connect the fritzbox's wan to my WRT54G to retain both pstn and voip from it... but i'm kinda running out of plugs...
Thanks, pepsi_max2k
