Thank you. At least you answered. This support from my provider they dont have clue what I am talking abbout. Do you know what protocol they use? Is it IAX or something manufacturer speciffic?
I flash with ruKernel this model (7270 v2 Annex B, FRITZ!Box 7390 Annex B) with firmware (International fw 54.05.23 - 7270 v2) and (International fw 84.05.51 - 7390)!
The whole process I have successfully done with http://rukerneltool.rainerullrich.d...AnnexBgerman-to-58.04.82AnnexAenglish_EN.html
I use Annex A ADSL line and after flashing the router can not be synchronized to ADSL do not recognize my Annex A line and if I'm in the settings configured in Annex A!
Are you sure all other internet connection parameters (i.e. user name, password, ATM settings and encapsulation) are set correctly? If so I suggest you run additionally [post=971638]"fritz_as_annex_a_kernel_args_newer.tar"[/post]. I had the same problem sometimes when I flashed an annex a fw which I had modified with "sp2fr". Generally I don't use ruKT for flashing "german" FBs with international fw.
I have bought a 7360 through eBay, but when I got it, I found out that it is a 7360 EWE edition. Anyway I used the ruKernel and flashed the latest available international firmware 111.05.51 successfully. I have also created a custom cable from an RJ45 Ethernet cable using the 2 outer lines connected to my PSTN/DSL line and then the RJ45 to the FritzBox DSL socket. I have also configured FritzBox to use Annex A from the web interface and set all the connection details (username, password, encapsulation etc) as there were set in my old modem (netgear).
The problem is that DSL does not sync/connect at all - the DSL light is continuously flashing.
Any ideas what maybe the problem? Is the 7360 EWE Edition able to used with Annex A connection?
Any help is much appreciated since the eBay seller does not accept returns
I have also created a custom cable from an RJ45 Ethernet cable using the 2 outer lines connected to my PSTN/DSL line and then the RJ45 to the FritzBox DSL socket.
So it is the same HW with 7360SL but with different firmware for marketing purposes.
OK, then the fact that I do not use a DSL splitter, do you think that may create a DSL sync problem for FritzBox?
In my current configuration I'm using a simple Netgear ADSL+2 router which is connected directly with the DSL/PSTN line and syncs without any problems. The only change that I made was this custom RJ45 cable connecting 4-5 with the DSL/PSTN line.
No, it is the same hardware as of the Fritzbox 7360. The hardware of the Fritzbox 7360SL is slightly different. Did you try it with the Netgear RJ11-Cable at the Fritzbox, too?
Please do not fullquote all the time.
Did you try to run the "neutral" avm recover fw? Just in case there remain some deep configuration of EWE.
My way to change to annex a and international fw for whatever box (if there is an international fw for this box) in simple cases (as to change from a 1&1-box to avm) is to run [post=971638]"fritz_as_avme_newer.tar"[/post] (after this there is no GUI visible) and run the corresponding international recovery inmediately.
Basically the same is
-download the corresponding recovery fw
- shut down mediasense
- open ftp
- enter quote SETENV firmware_version avme
(answer: command successful)
- enter: quote SETENV firmware_info en-de-es-it.fr.111.05.51 (MAYBE only 111.05.51 - not sure)
(answer back: command successful)
only after "command successful" run "recovery" IMMEDIATELY - do NOT interrupt power supply EVEN if recovery routine procedure asks to do so!
Are Fritz!Box 7330 and Fritz!Box 7330 SL same hardware, or whether it can be to flash (with ruKernelTool) the 7330 SL with firmware 7330 (7330.en-de-es-it-fr.107.05.50.image)?
I am proud to announce that I got FritzBox 7270 in my collection. Mostly I wanted it for DECT capability. Now I had updated it to newest software with English and Multi Annex. Only thing which bothers me is that I can't use fixed line on DECT for otgoing calls by default. It goes to internet instead and then sometimes to fixed line. Can anybody tell me why. The same thing was happening with ISDN phone connected to 7170. Is there some patch or hack for it?
There is no hack and no patch nessecary.
I think there is something wrong in your phone number configuration.
