7390 International Labor

Ich versuche es aufs Deutsch, is leider nicht mein forte .

Seit der 10-06 gibt's auch für den 7390 International ein labor, siehe:

Wäre es möglich diese firware auch aus zu wahlen im menu-config?
Oder müss man dan mit dem hand machen?

Would it be possible to choose this from menu-config as well?

There is a list of supported firmware versions, and you can find out yourself whether this firmware is listed in the menu. I assume you wouldn't ask if it was there.
Also, you can try to override the firmware manually, but you can't expect the patches to fit for another firmware.

It shows the flag for A CH, but it seems like any other international Labor firmware like there were for older models as the 7270.
It shows all the languages that are normally shown for normal international firmwares.

I'll try the override trick to see how it goes, is there an official way to get this added to trunk?

It's not easy to add international labor firmwares because it would cause some changes. I will look after it...

The override trick didn't exactly work, it ended with an error. I'm guessing the new kernel doesn't help here either

I made some changes to the trunk. Please try again overwriting the image file name.

Please select 7390 Labor Preview (german) in menuconfig and overwrite the file name. You will have to copy the firmware manually to dl/fw.

I succeeded in building an image using the labor-image by using the override and selecting German >> preview. I set the language to English, I got an image with <<de>> in the imagename now, but I guess the reason is the workaround.
I'll be testing it tonight after I come back from work to see how it works.

The image I made seems to be working great, got all the new Labor-function combined with openvpn and vnstat and other little fixes from freetz. It's been some tinkering, but I love it

@Break Action: I don't mean to be rude, but half the fun is building the image yourself, besides the reason freetz doesn't distribute firmware-files is the same. I don't want to step on anyones toes.
If you go to: http://freetz.org/wiki/help/howtos/common/newbie.en you can just follow the instructions there to get an VMware-image and then follow instructions for freetz-trunk, the only thing extra is the Labor-image from AVM and to override the location to point to your downloaded image.
Then select the packages and tweaks you need and build your image the way you like, this is still opensource at its best.
