Just tried it at home with a separate dsl filter (not integrated in the socket as in the office)..... and .... bingo...All working perfectly. This is a nice device!

P.S. any chance FB 7170 could read mass storage device with NTFS?

Hi, me back again. another problem.

As I said before at home everything started to work (internet+telephon)

But today I (actually my wife who rang me about 20 times) realised that after about 1min of conversation FB locks up again and restarts.....

If you need any info from my FB please note that I'm not able to connect to it through FTP. Only telnet and WEB.

at the moment I have my internet configured on LAN1. Nothing coonected to DSL/Tel socket on FB. One phone connected to FON1. intenernet works perfect for as long as you are not trying to make a phone call. E.g. calling my friend (using internet calling) and after 1-2min FB locks up and restarts...

Could it be just a faulty box?

This looks all ok - can you do a separate test again with your cables 1 and 2 using splitter/filter:

First connect ONLY cable 1 to FRITZ (jack "dsl/tel") and the "phone" jack of the splitter

result? was fine before- should be fine now also

After that connect ONLY cable 2 to FRITZ (same jack) - result?

I fear it might be a hardware problem inside FRITZ

changed nothing since and after talking to a friend of mine for 10 mins without a problem.?? so it is probably a hardware issue....unfortunatly

Did you try the direct connection to splitter/filter and test with the 2 cables? If you're having the same problem(s) using modem+FRITZ on Lan1 or connecting FRITZ directly to dsl through the splitter/filter which is connected to your dsl/phone wall jack it might well also be a problem of your "wall side connection" = the jack itself oder the splitter/filter.

EDIT: Just trying to exclude any cause of your problem outside to FRITZ. Your landline telephone connected through the "phone" jack of your splitter/filter works fine?
LAST TRY: Connect your FRITZ to another dsl connection that also works with a splitter/filter

Put Annex back to B, have my internet going to LAN1 and it looks like its working ... for 1 full day at least.

We'll se how it goes.
