also mit den neueren Firmware-Versionen braucht man doch die ganzen manuellen Einstellungen nicht mehr, man muss nur bei den Zugangsdaten das Richtige einstellen (z.B. Vodafone/Arcor VDSL II). Da sollte es in der Regel keine Problem geben.
Bei mir läuft Vodafone TV zumindest auf der FB 7490 auch mit den aktuellen Labors ohne Probleme.

Zum FBEditor: Den brauchst du zum Ändern der Config und um die Prüfsumme zu aktualisieren. Importieren der geänderten Datei am Besten über die FB-eigene Funktion "System/Sicherung/Wiederherstellen".
