Hi,

I have a FBF7050 german version, it took me long time to configure it (I am not German speaking ;) )
I can call out using POTS phones however I do something wrong with the ISDN.
I have an ISDN phone connected over S0 port but I get a fast busy or congestion each time I try to dial out the first digits (i.e. *121#number).
I found the way to enable the keys * and # on your ISDN phone dialing
#960*2* but it didn't help either
Firmware: 14.04.01
I have configured FBF as cable modem since I have DSL Annexe A and don't want to convert to Annexe B.

Has anybody an idea or knows a link to the english threads over that ISDN issue?
Any help will be appreciated

Hi,
I only understand: You have ISDN and do´nt know how to install, that you phone not about Voice over IP - only ISDN, right?

You can config your Fritz Box that it only phones about ISDN.

Sorry, more I did´nt unterstand;)

Regards

The * # must be anabled in the ISDN-Phone.
This ist nothing to do with #960*2*. It is as setting in the Phone

Why don't you phone from ISDN without Dialing any special?

problem only with ISDN telephone in S0 port

thanks for your reply
I think that the * and #keys are enabled in my ISDN telephone.
I would like to call with an ISDN telephone over IP.
I can call without problem when I connect an anolog phone in FON1 FON2 or FON3.
Do you have an idea?

Assuming that you really can phone normally over fon1 and 2.

What settings do you have in the section of "telefonie" for "ISDN Endgeräte"
Also with the ISDN phone I do not know the technical words for it but have you set up each provider you have in the box as a MSN on your ISDN telephone? Then in the ISDN phone settings have you said that you want to call and be called on this ISDN device with these numbers?

Forget the # and * for now. Create a dial rule and just dial a number with the phone. When I pick up my ISDN telephone on the screen I see my main VoIP number (what I entered as a MSN). When i dial a number the screen then tells me which VoIP provider it will use for this call (once again I entered it as a MSN).

If you can make proper VoIP calls with your analog phones connected to the Fritz!Box Fon, I assume your VoIP setup is correct and also there is Internet connectivity. In order to be able to make such calls, you probably have entered the "Internetrufnummer" (Internet phone number from one of the VoIP accounts you configured) as the main number under FON 1 and the others, or do you dial *121# every time you make a call?

In any case, the ISDN telephones work just the same, except the Internet phone number must be configured into the phone itself as an MSN (subscriber number). If calls originate then from the ISDN phone, they will automatically use the respective VoIP account. As ISDN phones do not require the "0" to get an outside line ("Spontane Amtsholung" in the configuration interface of the FBF), you will have to dial **121# if you want to select VoIP provider number 1 to make that call.

As you have not yet mentioned in which country you reside, please also make sure your ISDN phone is EuroISDN compatible (DSS1, see also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISDN ). The Fritz!Box Fon will not work with North-American ISDN. Independent of what your Fritz!Box Fon will be connected to, the internal ISDN FON S0 will always be a EuroISDN port.

Cheers,

here is a copy of my config:

Festnetzrufnummern
Anschlussart

Wählen Sie die Art Ihres Festnetzanschlusses aus:

ISDN-Anschluss

Analog-Anschluss

I use a Belgacom (Belgian PTT) ISDN Phone 310 so I guess is EuroIsdn compliant.
Could be the reason why I didn't configure the MSN on my ISDN telephone, has anyone of you guys an example of this config? (I have the menu in German)

Cheers

Gandal: you are correct, I have entered the "Internetrufnummer" (Internet phone number from one of the VoIP accounts you configured) as the main number under FON 1 and the others.
But didn't configure any MSN in my telephone (do not know how) :(

First option. Unlike AVM most european device manufacturers will have a language setting for the device. Got to the home page of your device's manufcturer and download the user manual in english. This will help you establish if it has a languages setting. In the unusual event that it does not have a language setting, usually most manuals have a "push by push" explanation of doing these things, read the manual in english and push the buttons on the phone. Have www.leo.org open for the tricky words that pop up on the ISDN screen.

edit here you go http://selfcare.belgacom.net/index.html?l=private:telephony:equipments:manuals&a=wired have a look at page 8

Well, it depends on your ISDN phone. What kind of ISDN phone do you have? Brand? Type? Manuals are usually online ;-)

You may also consider using dialing rules (Wahlregeln) to determine which path calls to certain destinations should always take. There, you may specify prefixes mapped to VoIP accounts to be used, or to fixed-line connections. Note, however, that this scheme is based on prefix rules and is not fit for countries like the U.S. where fixed-length numbers are used and the length of a number determines area/country code defaulting, not the presence/absence of a certain prefix.

EDIT: Sorry, I only saw the first of your postings... The Belgacom phone says on the Belgacom website
3 MSN par appareil
Le raccordement de 3 lignes sur le même appareil permet de faire facilement la distinction entre le trafic privé et professionnel en attribuant une mélodie spécifique.
So check your manual and configure the Internetrufnummer (the one you assigned to the analogue phones as well) as the MSN in your ISDN phone.

EDIT 2: The manual is here, by the way: https://admit.belgacom.be/eshop/enterprises/gallery/content/products/documents/manuals/en/isdnphone310_en.pdf
and the relevant settings are described starting page 8, "Basic Settings" ;-)

Link to manual is above.

a step further

Thanks to you all guys trying to solve my issue...
I have assigned MSN's (3) same as internet number 1234567 (must be without leading 0)
but don't know why I still get the busy tone as soon as I dial the first digits

Under the "System" menu there is "Ereignisse" (event log) that tells you if anything went wrong... can you find a message about your call attempt there?

About the MSN: it must be first of all the VERY SAME NUMBER that you entered as "Internetrufnummer" into the VoIP account. Digit by digit! One MSN is sufficient.

Yes I agree show us the system log if there are any records that appear there after you try to call.

Otherwise what do you hear when you pick up the phone? What is displayed on the screen of your phone at this stage? What is displayed on your screen when you dial? Does the number you are dialing work with your analog fon 1?

unfortunately there are no error logs of failed calls, I know it would help

this what I have:
09.05.06 09:39:42 Internetverbindung wurde erfolgreich hergestellt. IP-Adresse: 170.127.212.92, DNS-Server: 170.127.204.50 und 170.127.204.22, Gateway: 170.127.212.2.

I have exactly the same number 0123457 (without the "0") as advised in the manual and I have deleted the two others --> no changes
there is a blank on isdn phone display and when I pick up the phone I have no dial tone and as soon as dial 004 I get busy tone. I think that the test call don't even go out over LAN A (reason why there are no records)

Please note that the ISDN phone may behave differently than the analogue phones. By default, you have to dial "0" for an outside line on FON 1-3. On FON ISDN S0, you get the outside line without the "0". Did you consider that?

If you have no dial tone something more basic is wrong here. You settings under telefonie are not correct.

Are you sure that analogue fon 1 works?

why are you dialing 004? Or are you trying to call the UK on 0044.

dialing way

I consider that as well,

tested 00049xx busy tone
tested 0049xx busy tone
tested 049xxx busy tone

I dial this way over FONx: 0049

could it be something missing in the basic config?
