IeEmbed.exe file missing - problem with jfritz

Hi to All,

I use Jfritz for at least 2 years with positive results till last update to version 7.3.10.

Now with every start of Jfritz I get an error massage:

File lib/windows/x86/IeEmbed.exe could not be found

After I press OK jfritz continues with star with positive result.

I have uninstalled jfritz & installed it over again - still have the same problem.

I have additionally checked windows XP registry - have not found any key or value with that name.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem ?

Hello Mikola,

i think this looks like a java problem. Please check if the correct java version is installed. JFritz needs 1.5 or higher.

It did not work

I have reinstalled java but problem remainded :/

any other hints ?

Hello Mikolaj,

try this to solve your problem:
- First make sure JFritz is not started.
- Then do a backup of your JFritz-Installation-Directory
- Do also a backup of C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\JFritz
- Copy all files from C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\JFritz to your JFritz-Installation-Directory and overwrite all files.
- Delete the Directory C:\...\VirtualStore\...\JFritz

Maybe that part of error log can be helpful to find out what is my problem:
