Hello,
I have FritzBox 7170 SL.
We need English interface on my modem.
Can i install its firmware?

FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7170 (Annex A) Firmware Version 58.04.47
Language: English
or
FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7170 SL Firmware Version 29.04.49
Sprache: Deutsch

I just would like to know what is the 7170 SL version of the FritzBox 7170.

Those two machines, the 770 and the 7170SL are identical machines. The only difference is the DSL-cabel shipped with it: the 7170 cabel is something called "Y-cabel" for it's forked NTBA/DSL end, while the 7170 SL has a straight cabel.
Otherwise you can use all available firmware for either machine.

We need English menu.

So far (as far as I know) noone has been able yet to put the internstional firmware fritz.box_fon_wlan_7170.annexA.en.04.47.recover-image.exe) on the German boxes.
They fail because the hardware-id code is different.

Any English firmware does not work with a box manufactured for German market, as your 7170SL is.
If I remember well, more than a year ago someone succeeded in installation of English firmware to a German 7050 box. But he had to manipulate a lot of software.

Please use the forum's search function by typing words like "annex" "7050" "English".

Yes but the first is a real DOWNGRADE for 58.04.47 has very limited functions compared to the German boxes.
The second one only applies to Annex B

I do not exactly know what Annex Andreyrost wnats but it seemd to me that he "just" wanted the German (Labor ?) software to have an English interface.
Also both methods are not exactly for beginners and hold a great risc of killing your box
