Couple questions about Freetz & Fritzbox 7390

Hello everyone,
please forgive me for writing in english instead of german, and also for some questions which might seem obvious for you, so take in mind that some of the content in the website is not completely readable for me

I have fritzbox 7390 with latest firmware 84.05.22, and am trying to add torrents abilities to my router. it would help me alot.
I tried following this http://freetz.org/wiki/help/howtos/common/newbie and kinda stuck at the svn checkout area, since i dont know if the firmware i have is ok...
I went into 1.2, which isnt RC so its stable, but firmware for 7390 is supported up to 84.04.91
what can i do in order to resolve that issue?

also, just to be certain, in any case of bad flash or if something goes wrong and i wish to go back default, i just use the recover-image while connected via lan to the router?

and one last thing, I've read here http://www.ip-phone-forum.de/showthread.php?t=236922& that there're nfs issues. does that mean i cant access my hard drives connected to the fritzbox? If so, isnt there any solution at all in that manner? (kind of a deal breaker)

Update: I managed to create the .image file. I also had to create an .external with most packages i selected since firmware file was too big.
I Used the trunk, as its the only one supporting 84.05.22 (according to firmware list).
I still didnt touch the 7390 and instead decided to do some experiment.
I have FB 7140 in my closet with dsl modem which isnt working anymore, so i said why not just playing with it before messing with the 7390 i really use.
I managed to build freetz-1.2 for it, but again had to do external package.
I used webUI to flash it, it worked and now i have an additional freetz menu in the frtiz.box
I also plugged usb device with /external folder containing the .external file
but I just dont seem to activate the transmission client.
when i try to start it i get:

I also tried to start ssh service but i get "AVM telnetd is started by phone, failed."

To be honest *all* I want from my fritzbox is also additional torrents client. the rest of features in the freetz firmware is not so attracting me..If there's any way to have some good client on it (additional rss support will be welcomed) thats all i need

To use a recent 7390 firmware version you have to build with the "trunk". Look at freetz.org how to do this.

You get this error messages because your filesystem on the usb device does not support unix rights. Perhaps you should try ext2/ext3.

ssh service is not telnet! Please use google to find the difference. To use SSH you need dropbear ssh server on your freetz box. If you get the image to big message you have to remove some selected features to free space.
