Hello,

My box is the 16Mb version.

After one day, finally I have my image with freetz. (thanks to all developers). I'm using the last svn version of freetz.

Now the issue:
1 - If i download the firmware to FB (firm 54.04.57) i cannot do it. I get error because the firmware is not adequate (i do not get the button to force the upgrade)

2 - If i download the firmware to FB (firm 54.04.58) i can do it !!! However, the box reboots over and over....

My image has Iptables, openVPN, and some other minor (i think) changes.

Thanks in advance

Best Regards

Search the forum for "disable tr069".

Greets, Oliver

Thanks Oliver.

However, the result is the same :(:(
I do:
make menuconfig
and in patch choose to disable tr069

The obtained result is the same :( Reboot after reboot after reboot :(

Best Regards

I think you misunderstood Oliver. He told you to look for "disable tr069" not for "remove tr069".

To disable the tr069 you have to edit the ar7.cfg or just use the avm-branding.

Hello,

Sorry, my explanation is not good.

I choose:
remove tr069 stuff

in patches of make menuconfig.

Regarding to the branding, i have to use both: avm and 1&1 since my box is 1&1.
If i use just AVM i cannot flash the firmware.

Best regards

no Silent-Tears and Oliver meant something else.
You have to do something on your box.
You can either change the branding on the box itself or you have to disable tr069 on the box, the second you can do by editing the ar7.cfg via nvi.

I understood what you did. Please do what oliver expected you to to. search for "disable tr069", do not a simple removal.

tr069 is activated in your ar7.cfg, so the firmware wants to load it. If it isn't there, you'll get your problem, too.

so you first have to disable tr069-stuff, before you can remove it.

Thanks for all trying to help me :)
Editing ar7.cfg i d'ont find any line to disable tr069, just one line regarding tr069:

tr069_forwardrules = "tcp 0.0.0.0:8089 0.0.0.0:8089";

And, i cannot edit tr069.cfg, i get:

# cd /var/flash
# nvi tr069.cfg
cat: tr069.cfg: No such file or directory
#

This is after changing the branding of my box

Thanks again
Best regards

hey, sorry this was my mistake, I just repeated after Silent-Tears.

You have to diable tr069 in the /var/flash/tr069.cfg by editing with
Code:
nvi /var/flash/tr069.cfg

It should look like this afterwards:
Code:
/*
* /var/flash/tr069.cfg
* Sun Sep 8 14:03:34 2002
*/

tr069cfg {
enabled = no;
igd {
...

edit:
If you have no /var/flash/tr069.cfg you can have a look at this, but please make sure that there is no tr069, because normaly there should be one.
And of course make sure to use the right path for this default-tr069.cfg. :)

Let me try to make a situation point....
Brand of my box: avm
Code:
# env | grep "OEM"
OEM=avm
CONFIG_OEM_DEFAULT=avm
OEM_DEFAULT_INDEX=
#

My tr069.cfg is empty....
Code:
# cat /var/flash/tr069.cfg
#

- To build the firmware image i use Ubuntu 7 in a VmWare virtual machine.
- Freetz is the last version from trunk.
- In attach you can find my .config file use to build the image

The box still reboot and reboot and reboot :confused:

if your tr069.cfg is empty, then the box is taking the default one.
If I am right you can copy the default one to /var/flash/tr069.cfg with
Code:
cat /etc/default.../tr069.cfg > /var/flash/tr069.cfg
and then edit it with nvi.

This is how it was said here.

It would be great if somebody else could comfirm this. :)

Thanks matze1985.
I already have done that. The default one have tr069.cfg DIsable.

:(:(

so your /var/flash/tr069.cfg looks now like this?
Code:
/*
* /var/flash/tr069.cfg
* Sun Sep 8 14:03:34 2002
*/

tr069cfg {
enabled = no;
igd {
...

Yes, it looks like that ;)

hello vasilia,

ist there anything connected to the USB port of your 7270 ?

No, there is nothing connected to the USB port.
Thanks to ichego1, who helps me and send me and image, my FB boots with freetz.

However, i do not understand why my firmware do not boot !!!
I will try to compile using StinkyLinux instead of Ubuntu !
Best Regards

@vasila: If your problem is that after the following steps:
1) Recover box
2) Update Freetz-Firmware
your box keeps rebooting...

try to update to the unmodified labor-Firmware first, then update to the same version impoved by freetz - worked for me for the "the all in one labor" on a 8MB box, too.

Perhaps it works for u, too...

PS: I use Ubuntu, to compile, too. And upgrade through AVM-Web-IF

i've the same prob here

Hi my problem is the same,
freetz image compiled without errors, 10,3 MB big. flashing without (so it seems to me) errors.
but Bos keeps rebooting rebooting etc.

i thin it isnt the tr069.cfg if yagis bos is booting with firmware compilied on a other linux :-(
Any hints (tried with Ubuntu on my Laptop and stinky in vm:result is the same rebooting=

Any hints please :)

how did you flash the firmware?
Over the WebIf?

If I remember correctly the only way that works to flash a file that ist bigger than 8mb is push_firmware.

@Hiwi-Tec
matz1985 is right. You musn't flash a oversized firmware image over the webinterface. You have to do this by either recover-eva or push-firmware.

MfG Oliver
