I recently had a problem using 3CX behind a 7390
I wasn't able to forward port 5060 to the 3CX-server....
It can be solved by patching ar7.cfg and other stuff....

The procedure was rather tedious....

Can Freetz be enhanced so this can be done in a checkbox?????

PS.... I don't want to patch the 7390 so VoIP is completely removed.....

Even if you remove all the telephony stuff in the firmware and try to forward it?

I would really like this feature inside Freetz
All of the Fritzboxes we modify with Freetz are being sold to the customer and although we give the best service in the world ;-) it is possible this customer changes their system engineer.

I don't look forward in getting a call from such an angry engineer who spent ages trying to get VoIP to work before finding out it is ripped from the firmware and blames me for doing this.
The same thing can still happen if this feature is in there, but the answer I would have to give then is to just "enable VoIP" from the webinterface.

It's not the only reason I want it in there.
If that modem gets stolen or is broken I want to replace it with a new Freetz-enabled router and put the AVM and Freetz config on it and have the same configuration without having to think about it that I need to put a firmware on it without VoIP.

In which Freetz package do you see such a checkbox? Please post the changes you are making to ar7.cfg.

Regards
Oliver

;-) There is no such checkbox.

I would like to get such a checkbox because the VoIP inside the AVM gets in the way if you want to run a VoIP-PBX inside the LAN that connects to a trunk on the Internet.

Here's the link I used to start off: http://croesnet.eu/trixbox/trixbox-behind-fritzbox/

Code:
# grep -i -A2 voip_.*forward  /var/flash/ar7.cfg
        voip_forwardrules = "udp 0.0.0.0:5070 0.0.0.0:5070",
                            "tcp 0.0.0.0:5070 0.0.0.0:5070",
                            "udp 0.0.0.0:7078+32 0.0.0.0:7078";
        voip_ip6_forwardrules = "udp 5070,7078-7110", "tcp 5070";
        tr069_ip6_forwardrules = "tcp 8089";
        internet_in_nat_rules_enabled = yes;

Because the AVM SIP-client meddles behind the scenes with the firewall I would think the AVM-firewall is the appropriate place.

Are you going to make an option to disable the VoIP-client or is it the port shift (or both)?
The file /var/flash/voip.cfg needs to change too....

@olistudent:
Was there ever some change in the Freetz firmware?

I would really like to be able to do these changes from within the WebIF.
My experience with "behind-the-scene-patches" is that they always bite you in the back one day....

No there was no change. I can't see a suggestion/patch by you...

Then there's some kind of misunderstanding...

If I re-read my post I can clearly see a suggestion for a change.
Please give me a hint on how I can rephrase it

Please post a diff between two versions of a configuration file where I can see the changes that need to be applied.

Regards
Oliver

p.s. and please don't full-quote
