[Problem] Trunk 9984 doesn't compile FW for 7270 v2

Hi guys,

my first post here, sorry for not introducing myself first, but ich sprechen nicht deutch and can't find the right thread. Anyway ....

I've got a 7270 v2 with a modified FW build with Freetz stable 1.2 on 54.04.90. Today wanted to try to build one using last trunk version and original fw fritz os 5.23. Standing to the release specifications, it should be supported. Nevertheless:

"ERROR: missing ./patches/devices/7270_v2"

This is correct, because ./patches/devices/7270_v2 doesn't exist. The relevant directory is instead named ./patches/devices/7270_v2_05_22.

If I try (just as curiosity, because I don't understand German) to set German in make menuconfig, everything goes well. Tried also to rename 7270_v2_05_22 in 7270_v2. FW was compiled correctly (with English selected), but the box didn't work anymore after update and I had to use recovery.

Any thought on what's happening here?

There is no auch thing as release specifications for the trunk. The trunk is work in progress and may or may not work at any time.

In this case there seems to be something missing for the international firmware.

well, you're right, I probably didn't chose the correct wording. Fact is 7270 v2 international is included among the "Currently supported boxes and firmwares". That said, and beside strictly semantic aspects, I know perfectly that trunk is work in progress. That's why I didn' yell to anybody or asked back money that I never paid. I just thought that this forum is the right place to discuss about these issues, and reported details of the problem, hoping that somebody could help me (and that those details could be of any help to somebody else).

In light of all this ... well, I guess I already did know that there seems to be something missing for the international firmware. Looking forward for somebody who could know what exactely.
