Hi

I need some help. Have installed German annexB x.x.33 on my 7140.

I have a Zyxel in front as ADSL modem because we use annexA in Denmark, that means the 7140 only have a lan address on lan port_1.

I can inform that I have 2 SIP account and both work fine.

The problem is when I want to make port forwarding… Nothing happened.

My old router was working fine, it have the same networking place as the 7140 have now(after the Zyxel).

I don’t understand the problem. I forward the port i use to SSH(normaly port 22) but it dosen’t work; furthermore all the other port I forward, dose not work too.

The setup is:

ADSL(wan address) to Zyxel (10.0.0.1). I then send all traffic to the 7140(10.0.0.100).

Both my phone connected as SIP are working.

The Zyxel is connected to lan_1(wan) on 7140 and the other 3 ports is used as lan port. The internet is also working.

The problem is only with all the port I forward, non of them is working.

I confused because my old router have the same place as the 7140 have now, but on that router(Linksys) the port forwarding work!

I need some help?

Regards

Are you sure the Zyxel is working as a DSL Modem? At least for me this sounds, the Zyxel works as a DSL Router.

And where is the SSH Server? On the 7140? On a computer behind the 7140? On a Computer behind the Zyxel? Is the 7140 working as a NAT-Router or as a IP-Client?

kind regards

Frank

Sory for incompleate explanation.

The Zyxel is a ADSL router (2602)
The 7140 work as NAT-router!
The SSH server(Ubuntu with SSH) in on a ip segment behint the 7140.

Hello,

ok, in this case you will need two port forwardings: One in the Zyxel with target the 7140 and one in the 7140 with target the SSH Server.

I had a very similar Setup with a 7170 and a 7050. This works very well.

kind regards

Frank

Yes I know and I hawe done but it dosent work!
If I replace the 7140 with my old Linksys everything is working!

Any sugestion?

Hello,

the only thing I can imagine is a problem in the IP Setup or something like that. Maybe the 7140 has another LAN IP Range as the old router but you entered the same portforwarding like before: Of cause this will not work.

Another point: Maybe the configuration of the 7140 gots buggy. A Reset to Factory Defaults and a new complete configuration by hand could solve this issue.

In general the setup with a Fritzbox as NAT-Router over LAN works very well - also with portforwardings.

kind regards

Frank

Thanks; The problem is ok now.
Factory reset and re entering the setup.
