Sorry for writing in English. I can write in German, but it's so much harder for me to express in that language. English is not my native English either, btw.
I have about 50 AVM-routers with clients.. Most of them 7390, but I have almost all the popular models (7170, 7270, 3270, 3370, 7360).
Only one of all these routers is using in-built NAS.
Recently I upgraded all the routers to OS6 (when this was possible). All went fine, beside this client.
It turned out the NAS wasn't working.
I downgraded the router to OS5 and it started working again.
Then they had a breach of security and their VoIP-account with strong password was suddenly being used for phone-calls to African countries and Monaco.
I'm of course not sure it was due to this firmware, but I had to do something.
I placed a 7490 and NAS was working.
Then it turned out both DECT and WiFi was unstable.
We placed a separate WAP and Siemens DECT-station....
In the mean time I'm checking new firmwares for the 7390 to see if I can get the NAS working again.
I even tried an original AVM-firmware and noticed it wasn't working either...
How is this possible? I can't see anyone else complaining, which is very strange of course.
I can get it working on other models and I can see inetd is listening on port 139 and 445.
Nothing is listening on a 7390 I'm currently testing.
If I enable "NAS" I can see the /etc/inetd.conf changes and has a line for FTP, but no extra lines for Samba.
This is a 7490 that is working with NAS
This is a 7390 with 06.06
The 7490 has "replace kernel", but I can't do this for a 7390.
But NAS should work either way, wouldn't it?
At least on a plain vanilla AVM 7390 with 06.x firmware??
I'm testing a 7390 without any external storage, BTW.
I just enable NAS and then expect inetd.conf to get changed.....
Do I need a router with external storage to get SMB enabled?
