Sorry this is in English, but i can read German pretty good, so answering in German (auf Deutsch) is no problem…….
I am looking at a new, cheaper way of the phone system of an small company/store.
Now there are two IDSN-2 lines, so 4 communication lines in total. One of the ISDN-2 is going away, the other stays. On this line there is also ADSL, electronic payment etc..
I am taking a flat fee VOIP account somewhere and want to set this up in a Fritz!Box. Behind the Fritz!Box I want to keep (most off) the current ISDN devices, so I need an Fritz with a S0 bus. Three candidates: 7050, 7170 or the 7270.
But I do want to have some kind of fall back/lifeline, so that people are reachable at all times and also can make outgoing calls. For this purpose I want to use the ISDN-2 line.
Is the Firtz configurable so that it always uses VolP/SIP for outgoing calls, unless VolP (ADSL) is offline/unavailable then it should take the ISDN line. And also that there are always two communication lines maximum available (so no more then 2 incoming/outgoing calls at the same time, VolP or ISDN). And when VolP is not available only one of the two ISDN lines can be used.
( Another thing is that behind the Fritz I want to use a Linux Router (IpCop). My current setup is so that the Linux router gets the external (ADSL) IP. The current modem is actually doing nothing besides setting up the ADSL connection with my ISP, everything else is passed through to the router, so no natting/switching/firewalling etc. (it’s called SIP_SPOOFing, DHCP_spoofing is also an option). Well for ATA (VolP) functions this SIP_SPOOF-option will probably not work, but does the Fritz support DHCP_SPOOFING or something else so that the Linux router gets the external IP address and all network functions (natting etc.) in the Fritz are not being used ? ) I think i found the answer on this somewhere else in the forum already.......(not so easy i'm afraid....)
I hope I made myself clear, and again, answering in German is no problem……
