i got a Fritzbox 7390 and i would like to have it as access point. I got a router from my Internet provider and I would like to conect the Fritzbox via ethernet cable and have it as Access point. I thought that I had it working, but I got issues with the streaming services. Here is my config 1.jpeg2.jpeg

What is wrong with my config?

I suggest to fill in the "Downstream" and "Upstream" values according to your actual internet connection. Your current values represent ~ 1 GBit/s each; maybe the traffic management goes havoc with these values.

The Fritzbox Traffic-Management is irrelevant in IP-Client/WiFi-AP Mode.

I got issues with YouTube, netflix streaming services and when trying to send mesia via viber and whatsapp, it takes ages (or timeout) when sending pictures or videos

By changing the values to my actual xDsl speed did not change anything.
Got borrowed an old router from a friend and disabled firewall, nat, dhcp and tested the aforementioned services. No issues at all. Everything worked smoothly. I guess i am missing something in the config, but what?

Which Hardware ist the router from your Provider?
Have you checked the ethernet cable from Fritzbox to the router, is it okay?
Does the router support 1GB on the lan-port? Or only 100 MB?
Is the LAN Port of the Fritzbox in Power or Eco Mode?

Which Device are you using as Client for this? Some WiFi-Clients/Chips have problems with the 7390.

As mentioned above with another router it works fine.
The ethernet cable has been checked and it works fine. Also i have tested with a new cat6 already patch cable and i have the same behaviour.
The port at the fritBox is set at 1000 and the port at the ISP's router as well.

Is there someone that could create the backup and send it to me? So I could check what is wrong against my config, please?

BTW:
With the question "Which Device are you using as Client for this?" had i expected a more precise answer than just "Laptop, Tablet or Phone"…

Maybe the issues come from the WiFi. What are the chosen channels and how crowded are the WiFi bands in your area?

I am using the auto option in the wifi channels. Also I have tried manually to adjust to any non crowded channel, still the same behavior. It bugs me as I am using another vendor's AP and it operates without any issues, but Frutzbox 7390 cannot. In my honest opinion seems like a configuration error, that's why I am asking in here.

Any other clues?

What are the settings/parameters of your NATIVE internet connection (from your edge router)?

It sounds a bit like an IPv4 vs. IPv6 mismatch, where IPv4 packets with "full payload" have to be splitted to fit into the lower payload space of IPv6 packets (only an idea inspired by the description of symptoms).

If your edge router really uses an IPv6 connection, you could try to activate IPv6 support at your 7390 device (the tab beside "internet connection" from your first screenshot) to get rid of some (potential) delays in such configurations.

The edge router does not have IPv6 enabled, nor the current temporary replacement AP that works fine. It is only an issue of the fritzbox. What kind of settings shall I send over here from the Fritzbox to check if my config is fine?

What about the WLAN encryption settings?
(WPA...) Are they different to the temmporary AP?

I am using wpa2 with a secret. Nothing fancy
