Hello and Please accept my new thread if it is obselete...

Please give me a direction on How To Downgrade my FRITZ!Box Fon EN (Annex A), Firmware version 06.04.49 to version 06.04.24
If helps... I can use FREETZ, putty, total commander FTP
Also i have the AVM firmware images .49 and .24 and the recovery files for. 49 and for .24.

Please Help!

i had the following problem:

I try to use a Fritz!box Fon EN (Annex A) only as a Call Blocker.
I have only connect the ISDN/Analog port to my PSTN line.
Also i have a telephone connected to FON1 port.
I have no internet.
Everything (income, outgoing) calls ok!
BUT when i put a rules for Call Blocking and someone in blocklist, calls me, the fritz! stops the ringing, but!, somehow opens the phoneline (answers!). i prefer not to respond till the caller drop the call or give him a busy signal.

So, i want to try an older Firmware... maybe fix that strange situation with callblocking

when tried the .24 recovery a got the following:
Version successfully detecetd!
Hardware: FRITZ!Box Fon (Annex A)
Bootstrap: 1309
Firmware: 06.04.49
Flash area (mtd1)
deleting flash area (mtd1)
restoring flash area (mtd1)
checking flash area (mtd1)
Could not chek the partition mtd1! WinError-4

Changing the firmware will not solve your problem.
If there is nothing connected to FON2 you will have this opportunity:
- create a new (non existing) internet phone number (like 5551234)
- let FON2 listen to this number only (no need to connect a real phone to the port)
- redirect the unwanted caller directly to the fake number

So your phone on FON1 will not ring and the caller will listen to the standard calling signal.

Sounds special.
...but, unfortunately, i want to block ranges of numbers, with exceptions:
-block rule 69 => blocks every number starting with 69
+put the exception numbers starting from 69 (like 6912121212) into the Telephone Book as Important Persons (overcomes all blocking)

I found (second-hand) one 7050 at 20euro and one 7140 at 40euro.
What's your opinion? if i change the fon with one of the above, could possible solve my problem?

Changing the hardware will not solve your problem.
But the redirection to the fake number will also work with cutted numbers.
So a redirection for 69 to 5551234 should work for 6912121212 as well.

but 6912121212 is an exclusion for the blocking rule (like 69). i want to block all numbers starting from 69 except 6912121212 (=important person)
also i have the option of many blocking rules

someone owner of 7140 said to me that the 7140 stops ringing for blocked numbers without the problem of opening the line... the callers hears the classical tone for waiting to answer by calles

happy!!!

first impressions ...a strike!
the three points that i want to inherit from call blocking seems(!?) to work also for call diversion:
1.the important person also overcomes the call diversion rules
2.i can put many call diversion rules
3.i can put range (like 69) for incoming numbers to divert

Please check my steps and advice for final configuration.
1. i made an internet number 5551234 with fake username, pwd, registar
-do i have to change something at Advanced settings or Voice Transmissiion ?
-so i see an enabled=(checked) internet number=5551234 provider=ie with selection=*121#

2. at Extensions automatically at Fon2 see Internet:5551234
-do i have to change something at Extension settings?

3. at Call Diversion i put a New Call Diversion and at the list shown:
-enabled=checked, Calls=from 69, Divert via=Internet: 5551234, Destination=55598,Diversion=Immediatly
-Is it something to chek further? The Destination is also a fake number?

I give a try and called from an exception (important person)->the Fon1 rings (OK!)
then i call from an other 69XXXXXXXX number -> the Fon1 doesn't rings (OK!) AND the caller hears the classic tone for waitting for answer (OK!) AND if in that time i raise the handset from the phone plugged at FON1 i hear not the caller (OK!) but a continous tone ana cant call or hang the caller (no problem). When the caller drops the call the line at FON1 return to normal operation (ok!)

What do you say? Am i a good student?

Here is a last advice for fine tuning:

Please uncheck this fake number (do not delete it!).
So everithing will still work, but the FritzBox will not try to register this number at the fake provider. :dance:
