Hi, im sorry, i dont speak german. I have a fritzbox 7270 and i need to connect 30 computers via wifi but i can only connect 26, if i try to connect a 27th computer the computer tells me that the network is no longer available. It seems that the router is limited to 26 wifi connections. How can i change that?

Can someone help me?

Thanks

Marco

No i checked that the dhcp is enabled and set 100 ip´s and the computers are set to fixed ip´s....

:(

Uppps, there is imho your failure! Don't use DHCP, when you use fixed IP's, because the fixed collide with the DHCP-Range of the Box.

Lol i think that is not the problem i set the dhcp request range to 192.168.1.10 to 192.168.1.100 and the fixed ip´s are on 192.168.1.200 to 192.168.1.230

The problem here are not the atribution of the ip´s! Its the network it self as soon as i connect a 27th computer randomly it say that the network is not available but i can see it....

:(

OK, that's korrekt. :)

BtW, i think that it is the limit for the simultaneous TCP/IP-Connections, but i do not know, how much the Box can handle. Never tested it...

No that isnt the problem either (i think) be cause i have 30 computers (via WIFI of course ican only connect 26 compters) in a classroom and 2 other computers (via rj45) in another room and i can connect more computers via rj45 no problems there.

Sry, i meant on wifi, not on LAN. Which kind of the connection do you use, g+b, g+n and wich coding?

EDIT: @Ralf, sure, that's the quickest Way!

I tried both b+g, g+n, mixed its the same thing!

How long ist the Key, not more than 23 charakters and without special character?

But i think that will not be way to solve the problem. Write an Mail to the AVM-Support and ask them...

Its a wpa personal key i think and it´s a 15 charecter password with numbers and letters... I´ll try the Avm support line and post here the results

Thanks ppl

Hello,

I can remember a statement somewhere in the forum, that there is a limit of 32 WLAN devices. I'm not sure, if this limit also applies on the new boxes with 802.11n (7270, 7240, 3270, 7390).

Over 26 WLAN-Stations? At the same time?
This is hardcore for a home router, I think.
I can not believe that this should be a useful network environment.

If it has this limit of 26 wireless devices (which its looks like at the moment), I would suggest the following:
Use another wireless router as IP-Client, and parts the computer evenly. I think this will be increase the performance (other WLAN-channel assumed).
